Making a Claim

If you're an existing customer and you need to tell us about an accident involving damage or loss to your car, please phone Chaucer (the underwriter) immediately on 0800 072 2050.

You should phone this number even if your policy does not cover the damage.

If we are asked to repair your car, we will do this if the damage is covered by the policy and one of our approved assessors has inspected the damage.

The underwriters promise to:

  • do their best to sort out your claim with as little paperwork as possible; and
  • start the repair process immediately.
