A new road safety booklet will be issued to all new drivers from August
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) is issuing a new guidance booklet for new drivers with every set of theory test results from the 1st of next month.
First Car Glove-box will guide new drivers through the process of learning to drive and how to stay safe on the road has been produced by the team behind FirstCar Magazine.
As safety is the key focus of the publication, the young driver specialist, Marmalade supported this initiative as a key sponsor.
FirstCar Glove-box covers a wide array of useful topics, from how to choose the right instructor and pass the test to buying a first car. It will also contain interviews with the cast of the Inbetweeners and Hollyoaks, plus a foreword by TV presenter Natalie Pinkham.
FirstCar founder, James Evans, said: "Young drivers are one of the most vulnerable road user groups, but they are also one of the most difficult to reach. By presenting helpful information and advice to them at the theory test stage, we hope readers will get more enjoyment out of learning to drive and develop a more positive attitude towards driving and road safety”.

Both FirstCar Magazine and Marmalade are past winners of the Prince Michael of Kent International Road Safety Award.
About 750,000 people are expected to pass their theory test over the next 12 months and many will go on to take the practical driving test soon after.
