Why choose Provisional Marmalades Learner Insurance?
The learner driver has the comfort of driving with a parent
Enabling you to practice what you have learned with your driving instructor, safe in the knowledge that the Provisional insurance means the car is fully covered.
Your own comprehensive insurance
Provisional Marmalade provides insurance cover for learners that allow them to drive a family or friend's car. It is a comprehensive insurance policy that covers you rather than the car owner against all of the normal third party and comprehensive risks as a result of a collision.
Learner insurance protects your parent's no claim bonus
If something does happen whilst you are driving and a claim is made against the learner driver, our claims handlers will deal with your claim and your parent's insurance company will not be involved. Their no-claim status is not affected.
We let provisional license holders drive cars up to Group 32
Since we can cover most cars up to and including group 32 cars for example an Audi A4 2.0 or a BMW 530D the chances of us not being able to cover your parent's car are minimal.
Learner Drivers can use cars up to a maximum market value of £20,000
Again most family cars have a current market value under £20,000 which covers most of the vehicles on the road.
Driving Standards Agency recommends practice
The Driving Standards Agency actively supports a balance of professional tuition and a minimum 22 hours of practice for learner drivers. This practice can be with friends or family and helps the learner gain experience before taking the practical driving test. This could be just driving to school with Mum and Mum taking the car back or going out at the weekend with Dad.
